EAST SIDE HS (NEWARK): 1
Senior Kaila Freid pitched a 5 inning complete game striking out 3 and allowing 1 unearned run. She also had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs. Senior Gianna Benacquista had 3 hits (2 doubles) and drove in 2 runs as well. Fiorella Samaniego ( 1 for 2 with an RBI) and Jennifer Garrido (double and 2 RBI) each got their 1st Varsity hits. With the win the team improves to 1 and 1 on the season.
